Low End Theory featuring Megasoid and more

The planets are aligned. On a very special Friday (not Saturday this time around, sorry) Low End Theory commences for the third time in New York City. It's another double-headliner situation, featuring Megasoid (Sixtoo and Hadji Bakara) from Montreal, and Blank Blue from Los Angeles. Plus jet setting residents D-Styles and Gaslamp Killer, and local resident Eliot Lipp. Low End Theory NYC is co-presented by Konkrete Jungle and the Knitting Factory. If you missed the first two, here's your chance for audio redemption: do not miss this essential showcase of future music:

MEGASOID
[Montreal]
Comprised of Speakerbruiser (a.k.a Sixtoo) and Robert Downey DJ (a.k.a. Hadji Bakara of Wolf Parade), Megasoid have been straight running shit for more than a minute. Their Tank Thong Remix Tape put the scene on notice, and are now reaching new levels of international acclaim. It's almost absurd that they haven't played Low End yet, but we are proud to finally connect the dots. Exploding in real-time, the Low End Theory/Megasoid energy will leave you breathless.

BLANK BLUE
[Ubiquity]
Elvin "Nobody" Estela and Niki Randa form Blank Blue, one of the most refreshing singer/producer duos to emerge from Los Angeles in eons. Their Western Water Music Vol. II is highly anticpated worldwide, and hits stores May 6th. This will be their exclusive NYC performance. People! Believe!

Plus jet setting residents

D-STYLES
[Funkshitup]
His virtuoso skills on the turntables have been compared to that of Jimi Hendrix and John Coltrane. As a former member of Invisibl Skratch Piklz and Beat Junkies, he toured the globe, helping transform turntablism into a global phenomenon. Now, the legendary D-Styles is back on the frontlines of underground culture, shredding your soul at Low End Theory on both coasts.

THE GASLAMP KILLER
[MHE]
Over the course of the last few years, Gaslamp Killer has established a solid rep for devastating beats and intricate cuts. This nomadic West Coaster has steadily smashed the scene from San Diego to Los Angeles to San Francisco, earning the respect of heavyweight players in the process. Bear witness to one of his epic sets and see what the buzz is all about.

And local NYC resident

ELIOT LIPP
[Hefty]
Laying down a bedrock of notorious breakbeats under his signature Sequential Circuits and Korg MS-20 leads, Eliot Lipp has created a signature sound that has had the electronic music world stuck-on-stupid for the last four years. Eliot's instrumentals pour forth more emotion than most modern-day crooners, and while his beats bang with a gorgeous intensity. Eliot has rocked the original Low End on several occasions, and will be holding down the NYC monthly.
